Retail design in New Zealand just got a new benchmark. And we are proud to have played a part in setting it.

Rebel X at Panmure is New Zealand’s largest Rebel Sport store, and it is unlike anything the country has seen in sports retail. RD Group reimagined the entire in-store experience from the ground up, with lighting playing a central role in how the space communicates, guides and feels.

Across 2463sqm, integrated and suspended feature lighting defines each zone throughout the store, giving every category its own identity while keeping the whole space coherent. The Lightnet Liquid Line takes centre stage in each of these zones, including a first of its kind soccer pitch installation. Panels, downlights and LED strip and profile lighting layer warmth and precision across the floor, letting the product and the architecture do the talking.

The result is a space that feels genuinely exciting to be in. The kind of store people seek out, not just shop at.
