Waiata Shores: Once a golf course is now occupied by the first Green Star certified Countdown Supermarket in the North Island. At a glance, you would be hard pressed to think form, function with considerations to carbon footprint were at its core of this lighting design brief.

With its presence seen through the glass entrance before you even step through the supermarket doors, you are greeted by the Molto Luce’s pendant feature lights: the RIDE RINQ floating above the massive open ceiling. Each of the three metre halo rings not only look elegant and bold, but provides another visual layer to the stark open ceiling.

The Countdown Waiata Shores project is a great example that good light design and function doesn’t need compromising.
