Custom Light Series: How is a Custom Light made?

July 20, 2023

Curious on how a custom light is made at Novii? We’ve decided to craft a custom pendant and document the entire process from start to finish.

The Brief:

Our self-imposed brief (and our excuse to make some slick light fittings) is to design a product that can be used above a desk, boardroom table or kitchen to provide soft diffused ambient light. The product also has to align with wellness lighting and include advanced lighting technologies.

From Brief to Concept:

Our Product team has drafted up sketches and locked a light fitting design concept that we thought best matched the brief.

From Render to Reality:

After receiving the first prototype of our light fitting, our dedicated product team has soldered and fitted the LED lights to bring the fitting to life. It’s an exciting moment as we witness the illumination and see how the fitting looks in action.

From Prototype to End Product:

The culmination of our #CustomLightSeries – our design and product team has brought our lighting vision to life! The stunning custom pendant is now complete, featuring cutting-edge lighting technology, including app-controlled lighting control.

We are thrilled with the outcome and excited to find this remarkable pendant a deserving home. Whether it’s for your snooker room, dining and kitchen area, entertainment spaces, or an office meeting room, this pendant is the perfect lighting solution.
